CRISIS CORE FINAL FANTASY VII REUNION is a remastered version of the original CRISIS CORE FINAL FANTASY VII with a complete overhaul of the graphics in HD, a remastered soundtrack, a reworked interface, and an updated combat system.

The story begins seven years before the events of FINAL FANTASY VII (1997) and follows Zack Fair, a young and ambitious Shinra SOLDIER. Zack is tasked with tracking down a 1st Class SOLDIER named Genesis Rhapsodos. In the course of his mission, however, he will uncover the dark secrets of Shinra's experiments and the monsters that are created. Cloud, Sephiroth, Aerith, and other characters from the FINAL FANTASY VII franchise appear in the game.
