The TP-Link TL-WA855RE Wifi repeater is a device designed to extend the wireless coverage of existing networks with a maximum speed of up to 300 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band, compatible with IEEE 802.11n, 802.11g, and 802.11b standards. Equipped with 2 external antennas, it enhances the Wi-Fi signal to achieve a faster and more stable connection, ideal for eliminating dead zones in homes or small offices. This extender supports both repeater mode and access point (AP) mode, allowing the creation of a new Wi-Fi access point through its interface, which includes a 10/100 Mbps RJ45 Ethernet port for easy wired device connection. Its setup is simple and accessible, featuring a “Range Extender” button to start network extension and the Tether mobile app for convenient device management and control from a smartphone. Made of white plastic, compact and lightweight (approximately 100 grams), it has small dimensions of 52 x 34 x 65 mm, making it unobtrusive when plugged in. It consumes about 3 W of power, contributing to energy-efficient use, with energy-saving modes programmable via its software. Regarding security, the TL-WA855RE offers WEP, WPA, and WPA2-PSK encryption to protect the wireless network from unauthorized access.
